Coming here, I came with my roommates and my boyfriend. We only decided to come here because of the 5$ off coupon that was sent to us.
First off, the place is beautifully decorated. The place is spacious, and the buffet looked super appetising. We were asked to sit anywhere, so we sat near the window.
Getting our food, we chose a lot of the seafood, salad, tried some of the different styles foods, and of course- the Chinese part of the buffet. The shrimp in shell were not de-veined, and the tempura shrimp tasted like it was paste. The crab was cooked well, and the fish in batter was cooked nicely. The fruit and ice cream were the saving grace, as they had the regular jellos, cookies, and small sweets. They didn't have seafood sauve, only replaced with spicy Mayo and some weird sweet chili sauce.
The choices with the Chinese foods were cooked amazingly, and the noodles weren't soggy or super dry.
The price was 20$ a person, and even with the 5$ coupon, came to 18 and change. Not really the price range I would expect from a smaller buffet area.
View was gorgeous, and the staff were prompt and courteous. I will definitely be going back. -

The food was tasty however I have noticed for many times about food safety issues in this place. The fruit plate always looked like it's out there for days. The seafood usually stayed in really gross water. There was one time I walked in with my friend when they just opened their door and there was already a dish of salad for buffet, half eaten though... we were the only guests at that point. So who the hell ate the other half of the salad I will never know. Or they just used leftover from the night before. Service is basically like no service. Tables always are dirty... If it's not for craving for the taste I don't think I will eat here anymore.

Been here 3 times, I'm a vegan and enjoyed splurging on the all you can eat veggies they offer (even though for the price you pay you think they could WASH the veggies, they don't.) I was told the Tom Yom tomato broth was vegetarian, then next time I came back was told the opposite so had the mushroom instead which wasn't great.
I came here for the 3rd time not long ago and I wasn't even home before I could feel my stomach cramping up. I then spent the next FIVE DAYS recovering from such horrible food poisoning. I think I was just lucky the first 2 times, won't be back. -

This review is for when they moved to Salter st.
They no longer serve Sushi and do a traditional buffet style now. Despite not serving sushi, I called ahead and asked on the phone if they do. They assured me that they do serve sushi with a menu similar to the Sushi Jet location. Not even close. It's a mix of strangely out of place western food such as fries, onion rings, and roast beef with some asian dishes.
Despite going at noon on a Friday, the place was nearly empty. Our waitress seemed confused and did not refill our drinks once or check up on us. The food despite us being there at noon sharp was luke-warm at best, with the best dishes such as the roast beef left empty as we left. The fried food which made up a large chunk of the buffet was greasy and barely warm. Most of the food was under seasoned and lacked flavor. My bill with a pop at lunch was $20, which was very overpriced for what it is and how small the buffet is.
I really cannot understand the decision to move the highly succesful and always busy Sushi Jet to a smaller location, and taking the prime space and filling it with a tiny buffet with mediocre food. I really cannot see this place lasting.
